Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago is seeking an experienced RN to join the Cardiosciences ICU-CVICU team as an RN 2. The role requires a registered nurse license in Illinois, current BLS, and a Bachelor’s degree or higher.

The position features a 12-hour night shift and full-time hours (FTE 0.9–1.0). The RN 2 will apply clinical expertise, collaborate with the health care team, and contribute to quality initiatives while upholding Rush policies and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher (except RN1s hired and already working at Rush before Oct 2012). All transfers must have a bachelor’s degree prior to transfer.

• Participates in data collection to support unit-based quality initiatives, research and evidence-based activities.
• Utilizes system-wide resources to support decision making and action.
