Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV is currently seeking a full-time RN for our CVICU. The role involves daily planning, coordination, and monitoring of patient care with the nursing team and other health professionals to ensure safe, effective care and optimal length of stay.

You will advocate for appropriate resource use, uphold established standards of care, document variations clearly, and assist with nursing unit management to support high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of current nursing procedures.
• BLS required.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of West Virginia or a valid compact state nurse license.

Responsibilities

• Daily planning, coordination, and monitoring of patient care with the nursing staff and other health care professionals.
• Accountable for ensuring effective use of available resources and maintaining established standards of care.
• Ensures that variations based on patients' individual needs are justified and well documented.
• Assists with the management needs of Nursing Unit.
