Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where RN is providing client nursing services
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program
• Age-specific care knowledge per department policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care while engaging patients and families
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team to influence outcomes
• Uphold a culture of safety and continuously evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols
• Demonstrate effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution to foster collaboration
• Pursue professional development and maintain required certifications
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and ensure age-appropriate care
• Appropriate delegation to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed personnel
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation
• May float to other units or facilities as needed
• Provide age-specific care across the life span per department standards
