Job summary

CommonSpirit Memorial in Southeast Tennessee is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care, perform assessments, and implement care plans within an interdisciplinary team. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate of Nursing is required at hire.
• Registered Nurse: TN license required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required at hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic and patient monitoring (detection and recognition of acute changes and escalation or concerns/critical results).
• Administration and monitoring of therapeutic interventions and regimens (starting/maintaining IV therapies, administering medication per patients’ rights, preventing falls and skin breakdown, following safety policies).
• Effective management of rapidly changing situations (identifying, assessing and anticipating needs).
• Organization and work rule competencies (prioritizing, coordination and meeting multiple patient needs in a timely manner).
• Helping Role (contribute to a healing environment, provide patient comfort and support for human dignity, act as a patient advocate).
• Teaching-Coaching Function (assess and evaluate patient readiness to learn and explain conditions).
