Job summary

Advocate Health in Colorado, Aurora, is seeking an experienced nurse leader to oversee CVICU 7T, leading advanced care and coordinating daily operations, staffing, and patient flow.

The role requires a BSN, RN license, at least 3 years in inpatient nursing, and charge/preceptor experience. You will guide education programs, drive collaboration, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while supporting a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Typically 3 years of inpatient nursing experience.
• Charge RN and/or Preceptor RN experience required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide work direction to staff for efficient resource coordination.
• Promote quality patient care and advocate for patients and staff.
• Coordinate communication among patients, families, departments, and medical staff.
• Foster intra- and inter-departmental relationships and liaise with suppliers.
• Evaluate care quality and ensure compliance with center policies and regulatory standards.
• Lead ongoing process improvement with manager.
• Serve as clinical resource for patients, families, staff and external agencies.
• Develop orientation and education programs for staff.
• Assist with equipment budgets and facility planning.
• Support Shared Leadership in Nursing Evaluation and Standards.
• Handle HR responsibilities including performance reviews and staffing decisions.
• Adhere to Code of Ethical Conduct.
• Provide age-appropriate care and assess patient data.
