Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado seeks an experienced Clinical Nurse Supervisor for the CICU on the Anschutz campus. The ACM leads frontline clinical care, oversees staffing, and drives quality outcomes in a fast‑paced pediatric cardiac environment.

The role blends clinical practice with operational leadership, requiring RN licensure, BLS/CPR, and ANCC certification, plus strong teamwork and a commitment to excellence in family‑centered care.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required with RN licensure.
• Three years of clinical experience, pediatric cardiac ICU preferred.
• ANCC certification and BLS/CPR certification required with expiry in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and management, directing staffing to ensure high‑quality patient care.
• Maintain visibility by rounding with patients, families, and team members to monitor care delivery.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Ensure safe, efficient patient flow and resource utilization.
• Create and manage staffing and scheduling resources to meet needs.
• Support interviewing, onboarding, and training activities for staff.
• Develop, coach, mentor, and supervise team members; conduct reviews and address performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance practice and outcomes.
• Monitor resources and expenditures to meet productivity targets.
• Provide direct clinical care and active supervision as needed.
