Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) seeks an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse for overnight shifts. You will care for high-acuity cardiac and surgical patients, collaborate with a dedicated team, and guide families through critical care decisions.

Minimum qualifications include NYS RN license and nursing degree; BSN preferred. A sign-on bonus up to $25,000 is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Preferred: BSN; Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients.
• Serve as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit needs.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
• Safely administer medications according to UHS policies.
• Support effective resource utilization, including staffing, time, and supplies.
• Comply with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies.
• Participate in Nursing Shared Governance, Unit Council, and improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to peer review, evidence‑based practice, and quality improvement.
• Provide support and guidance to new employees and students.
• Perform Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator responsibilities when assigned.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and mandatory training.
• Participate in the Clinical Ladder Program as your expertise grows.
