Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for the CVICU in Fort Wayne, IN.

This full-time night position (5p–5a) is a .9 FTE role in a 22 ICU bed unit, with responsibilities spanning post-cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery care, including ECMO and LVAD support. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure safety and quality in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where practice occurs.
• Experience or student rotations in acute care preferred.
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient-centered care using nursing process.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to develop care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
