Job summary

OU Health is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for the CVICU in Oklahoma. The role encompasses independent clinical practice within a multidisciplinary team, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and care coordination for patients and families.

Education requires an accredited nursing/APN or PA program. No prior experience is required; BLS and ACLS within specified periods are mandatory, with prescriptive authority within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing if APRN, MSN or Master’s in Physician Assistant Services.
• No experience required.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire.
• ACLS required within 90 days upon hire.
• Must obtain prescriptive authority within 30 days of onboarding.
• IF Advance Practice Nurse: Active RN and APRN License in State of Oklahoma.
• IF Physician Assistant: Active PA license in Oklahoma and NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical assessments; orders studies and interprets results.
• Develops and alters plan of care; documents in EMR.
• Provides patient- and family-centered care; coordinates with care team.
• Participates in education, quality initiatives and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Promotes research opportunities to advance patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
