Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Taylor, Texas seeks a CVD Process Technician for day shifts to support high-volume semiconductor fabrication. You will work with equipment/Process Techs and Engineers to troubleshoot, qualify tools, monitor trends, and revise SOPs to improve quality and safety.

Candidates need a two-year technical degree or equivalent, 3+ years CVD experience, familiarity with Lam/AMAT/WONIK/TEL, and a customer-focused, teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent military experience; 3+ years direct CVD semiconductor experience in HV manufacturing.
• Experience with 300mm CVD processes is highly desired.
• Familiarity with Lam, AMAT, WONIK, TEL platforms; knowledge of SPC methods.
• Candidates are detail- and task-oriented with strong customer service, teamwork and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain CVD equipment with focus on root cause analysis, standardization, and 6S.
• Perform tool qualifications, lot dispositions, and interlock troubleshooting to sustain factory operations.
• Monitor trends and work with Layer Owners to implement corrective actions.
• Draft SOP revisions to continuously improve quality and safety.
• Assist with wafer recoveries and tool qualifications during PM or down events.
• Document tool interruptions and communicate with Process engineers for proper material disposition.

At Samsung Austin Semiconductor, we are Innovating Today to Power the Devices of Tomorrow.**Come innovate with us!****Position Summary**In your role as an CVD Process Technician, you'll work alongside a talent group of technicians and engineers in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment producing some of the most advanced semiconductor devices on the planet.**Role and Responsibilities****Here's what you'll be responsible for:** • Work in the fab with other Equipment/Process Technicians and Engineers to support troubleshooting and maintenance activities with a mindset towards root cause analysis, standardization, and 6S • Understand and be able to sustain the factory by performing tool qualifications, lot dispositions, and interlock troubleshooting activities • Perform assigned trend monitoring activities regularly and work with Layer Owners to implement corrective actions • Draft regular SOP revisions to ensure quality and safety expectations are continuously improved upon. • Perform activities involved with the recovery of CVD equipment from PM or down events including wafer recoveries and tool qualifications • Documenting and communicating events from tool interruptions to Process engineers to ensure the material is measured and material disposition is completed correctly.**Skills and Qualifications****Here's what you'll need:** • Two-year technical degree, equivalent military experience, and/or 3+ years direct applicable CVD semiconductor experience in high volume manufacturing environment. • 300mm CVD experience highly desired. • Familiarity with Lam, AMAT, WONIK, TEL and/or platforms preferred, along with familiarity with SPC methods and implementation • Successful candidates will be detail and task oriented and place high value on customer service, teamwork and flexibility.The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60/hour - $60.40/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance**Day Shifts Include:** A Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays C Shift – Thursday through Saturday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays**Total Rewards** At Samsung Austin Semiconductor, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package.
