Job summary

NSG Group in Northwood, OH seeks a motivated student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering to support the R&D stages of chemical vapor depositions. You will join a team of technicians, engineers and scientists to gain real-world, hands-on lab experience.

Responsibilities include operating CVD lab equipment, preparing substrates, handling chemicals safely, troubleshooting, and contributing to safety and quality initiatives while documenting work per ISO9001:2000

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering or chemistry.
• Demonstrated hands-on technical skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate complex CVD lab equipment.
• Prepare glass substrates for lab depositions.
• Safely handle chemicals according to SDS standards.
• Troubleshoot process problems and implement solutions.
• Improve safety in all CVD lab operations.
• Develop and implement new CVD lab equipment SOPs.
• Operate pilot scale equipment in lab and manufacturing plants.
• Maintain accurate records per ISO9001:2000 standards.
