Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a CVD Equipment Technician to perform preventive maintenance, recover from tool faults, and monitor tool performance. The role requires coordination with Process and engineering teams to ensure proper disposition of materials and adherence to SOPs.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in semiconductors, hands-on AMAT Producer toolset experience, and familiarity with AMAT robots and chemical delivery systems.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in the semiconductor space.
• Experience troubleshooting the 300mm AMAT Producer toolset.
• Expertise on AMAT robots and chemical delivery systems is highly preferred.
• Must have high volume semiconductor fabrication experience.

• Monitor and respond to abnormal equipment signals, alarms, and interlocks.

Position Summary

The CVD Equipment Technician is responsible for performing activities involved with the recovery of CVD tools from PM including qualifications. Technicians will perform preventative maintenance on CVD equipment and recovery of equipment faults. Daily equipment process and equipment trend monitoring will be required, as is responding to interlocks in a timely manner. Documenting / communicating material from tool interruptions to Process and team to ensure the material is measured and dispositioned correctly. Technician will interact with Shift Supervisor in scheduling PMs and delivering ETAs for tool recovery while documenting/following standard operating procedures during BM/PM execution. High energy with a focus on Quality and detail is required. All technicians will participate in site compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance following detailed SOP.
• Troubleshooting equipment failures.

• Work with senior personnel and engineers to perform troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance.
• Correct and generate SOPs when required.

This position is for our B shift which is Sunday - Tuesday from 7 pm - 7 am and every other Saturday.

The current base salary range for this role is between $20.50 - $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
