Position Overview

Perform as a technologist and assist the physician with patients who have had a variety of invasive cardiac procedures including but not limited to diagnostic heart catheterization, interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiological, device implantations, and peripheral vascular procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:
  • For West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland locations:
    • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography.
    • Current West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technologist License, or applicable state licensure where services will be performed.
    • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
  • For Pennsylvania locations:
    • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
    • Obtain certification in BLS within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
Experience
  • Two (2) years of experience in a Catherization or Hybrid lab.
Core Duties and Responsibilities

The general nature of work includes:

  1. Obtaining and preparing medications under physician orders.
  2. Maintaining sterile technique during procedures.
  3. Monitoring patient ECG and blood pressure, documenting and advising physicians.
  4. Answering calls courteously and timely.
  5. Coordinating lab schedules with patient demand and physician schedules.
  6. Acting as part of the code team during resuscitative efforts.
  7. Documenting procedures and managing inventory.
  8. Assisting in patient escort and preparation.
  9. Applying electrocautery and ablation pads under supervision.
  10. Instructing radiography students.
  11. Monitoring and interpreting Hemodynamic data.
  12. Preparing entry sites using sterile technique.
  13. Participating in inventory management.
  14. Checking and preparing patients prior to procedures.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 40 pounds.
Working Environment
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, body fluids, chemicals, and electrical shock.

Additional Information
