Job summary

Atlantic Health System in New Jersey is seeking an Interventional Lab Specialist to assist physicians in invasive cardiology and radiology procedures, scrub, and maintain sterile fields. You will monitor procedures and document findings in the interventional lab.

You will operate, troubleshoot, and perform QC on imaging systems/fluoroscopy, manage vascular access and post-procedure care, and maintain efficient supply inventory across the lab.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/IABP insertions and diagnostic and interventional peripheral vascular procedures.
• Performs post-procedure care and groin management, including arterial and venous sheath removal.
• Operates, troubleshoots, and maintains radiologic equipment and performs quality control.
• Stays responsible for lab supply inventory and equipment readiness.
• Other duties as assigned across Atlantic Health site(s).

Job description

Responsible for assisting physicians to perform invasive cardiology and radiology procedures; scrubbing and maintaining sterile field; monitoring and documenting procedures in interventional procedural lab.

Responsible for hemodynamic monitoring and EKG interpretation, documentation during interventional procedures. Performs post procedure care and vascular access site management including arterial and venous sheath removal and closure device utilization. Operates, troubleshoots, maintains and performs quality control on all equipment used in lab, including imaging systems/fluoroscopy. Maintains supply inventory. Other duties as assigned and vary within Atlantic Health site specific.
