Job summary

Tampa General Hospital on the main campus in Tampa, FL is seeking a CV Invasive Specialist to support the Cath Lab team under direct supervision. You will assist physicians and cardiovascular technologists with catheterizations, interventions, electrophysiology and implants, document patient assessments, and help ensure patient rights and safety through pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care.

Candidates have a high school diploma and either enrollment in a CVIS program or equivalent hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma; enrolled in a CVIS program or has equivalent hospital experience (scrub tech, respiratory therapy, radiology, echocardiography) for potential on-the-job training.
• Two years progressive clinical experience in a hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the cath lab with pre-, during-, and post-procedure patient care under direct supervision.
• Assists physicians and CVTs in catheterizations, interventions, electrophysiology and implants.
• Documents patient assessments and procedure flow, reports situations needing intervention, communicates goals and plan of care.

Description

Under direct supervision following established policies, procedures, professional guidelines, assists in the cath lab delivering care to patient’s pre, during and post procedure. Assists physician and CVTs in performing procedure to include but not limited to catheterizations, interventions, electrophysiology and implants. Assists implementing patient care; documents patient assessments and flow of procedure; identifies and reports situations requiring intervention; communicates goals and plan of care; assures patient rights. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the values of Tampa General Hospital. This position requires constant supervision.

Qualifications

High school diploma. Enrolled in a CVIS program or has equivalent hospital experience such as scrub tech, respiratory therapy, radiology technology, echocardiography or other experience to be reviewed for on the job training.

Two years progressive clinical experience in a hospital.
