Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in tool design or a related engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining/grinding, carbide materials, and metallurgy.
• Understanding of cutting tool geometries, specifications, and coatings.
• Experience with 3D design software (CIMulator and MasterCam a plus).
• Familiarity with ISO, OSHA, and other industry standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

As a Cutting Tool Design Engineer, you will lead the design and development of new cutting tools, enhance existing product lines, and help define the technical standards that keep IMCO at the forefront of machining innovation. Working Conditions

This role involves work in both R&D/production environments and office settings. You may encounter machining oils, grinding dust, chips, and moderate noise levels. Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs.) and hands‑on tool handling are required.
