Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a Die Cutter operator in Minnesota to support setup, maintenance, and operation of the die cutting process. You will work as part of a team to ensure safety, quality, and productivity, handling make-ready tasks and line communication across shifts.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to interpret technical instructions, and reliable math and communication abilities.

• Strong math and measurement skills for production tasks.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Make-ready, adjust, and run job to meet safety and productivity standards.
• Examine job order to determine quantity to be cut and die cutting instructions.
• Inspect cutting dies for defects and make necessary quality adjustments.
• Ensure information is communicated between shifts.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning of Die Cutter equipment as required.
• Accurately record production metrics.

Job Summary:

Perform manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance, and operations of the Die Cutter. All members of the department are expected to work as a team to ensure standards are met in safety, quality, and productivity.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with our policies and procedures
• Make-ready, adjust, and run job as efficiently as possible to meet safety and productivity standards
• Examine job order to determine quantity to be cut, stock specifications, and special die cutting instructions
• Examine cutting dies for visual defects
• Make necessary adjustments to ensure quality
• Ensure information is communicated between shifts
• Perform propoer and required maintenance as well as cleaning of Die Cutter
• Accurately record production metrics

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to understand technical written and verbal instructions
• Strong computer and math skills required
• Ability to accurately distinguish colof variation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending and turning
• Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, when necessary

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities:

Responsible for compliance with all facility food safety, food defense, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs)/Sanitation policies and procedures. Employees must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of their work area in support of SQF/5S and other company standards.
