Job summary

Greif is seeking a Cutter Machine Operator for first or second shift in Georgia to support production in a fast-paced packaging facility. You will read work orders, set up and adjust machinery, and perform changeovers to meet precise specifications.

Responsibilities include quality checks, communicating issues to the Winder Operator, and maintaining safety and lean process standards. This role requires physical stamina and a willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and up 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to follow directions, company policies and guidelines, and work well in a team.
• Self-motivated with attention to details; excellent attendance; able to work overtime as required.
• Familiarity with lean tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone, 5S, SMED, Operator care, RCPS, and reliability concepts.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders to set up and operate equipment and meet production requirements.
• Perform cutter adjustments, tool changes, and changeovers between orders as needed.
• Communicate with Winder Operator about quality concerns, equipment issues, and material counts.
• Perform periodic quality checks using CSAR quality system and ensure compliance with specifications.
