Job summary

Tenneco in Indiana (Ligonier) is seeking a cut-off operator to turn L-bar into exhaust tubing. You will set up, load, and operate Brehm or Haven equipment and adjust for diameter and length changes while performing basic troubleshooting.

Join a team in a fast-paced plant, uphold safety and quality standards, and participate in routine maintenance on forklift and crane. A high school diploma and the ability to obtain a crane/forklift license are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work orders, machine manuals, charts, forms, and safety regulations.
• Mechanical aptitude to set up and operate machines and perform basic maintenance.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Knowledge of SPC and visual quality inspection with gauges (calipers, micrometers).

Responsibilities

• Set up, load, and operate cut-off equipment (Brehm or Haven) to produce tubing.
• Identify and change diameters, punches, and lengths per job specs.
• Perform safety checks and basic preventive maintenance on forklift and crane daily.
• Work as part of a team and rotate through cut-off functions as needed.
