Job summary

Colonial Group in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Cut-Off Saw Operator to maintain stock, set up saw equipment, and cut aluminum stock to required lengths for production.

You will operate the cut-off saw, perform line set-ups, replace blades as needed, and participate in lean manufacturing and quality initiatives, with overtime as required.

Job description

Job Summary:

Cut-Off Saw Operator maintains stock, sets-up saw equipment, and cuts stock into specific lengths as required for production.

Job Requirements:

• Receive and maintain aluminum stock.
• Perform set-ups of saw and saw equipment according to procedure.
• Replace saw blade as needed.
• Assist in loading and unloading stock from saw table.
• Operate the cut-off saw.
• Run production, assuring all requirements for length and quantity are met as per job travelers and procedures.
• Maintain the stock supply room.
• Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
• Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required.
• Operate a forklift.
• Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by APP leadership.

Compensation:

$18.00 - $18.76 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
