Job summary

PTC is seeking a Material Handler in Bedford Park, IL to participate in safe, efficient tube cutting and finishing operations. You will set up tools, measure parts, and help ensure products meet specification while maintaining organization and quality records.

The position requires basic math, reading comprehension, and willingness to work a scheduled shift. Training, safety guidelines, and a collaborative work environment are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up, install, and adjust tools, collets, clamps, targets, etc. for product size, desired length and end finish.
• Operate controls to produce cut-to-length and chamfered or deburred tubing.
• Verify finished tubing is within size and length tolerance and meets order requirements for straightness and surface finish.
• Segregate discrepant material from prime product.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist in routine preventive maintenance.
