Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, in Blytheville, AR, is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and run high-speed steel forming and cutting equipment according to specifications.

You will follow safety rules, perform precise setups, inspect materials, record production data, and assist maintenance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Manufacturing experience and basic math skills are preferred; ability to read logs and use measuring tools helps ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write English and maintain production records/logs.
• Ability to perform basic math including decimals and fractions.
• Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
• Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other equipment necessary for job completion.

Responsabilités

• Observe all safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) rules to operate equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Perform advanced setup and calibration of production equipment.
• Inspect materials for quality issues before, during, and after production runs.
• Record and report quality deficiencies to supervision or the quality department.
• Maintain tooling and equipment required for job completion.
• Diagnose equipment and quality issues while minimizing scrap and downtime.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to keep work areas clean and safe.
• Complete reports related to production, changeovers, and scrap material.
• Assist maintenance with repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About the Role

As a Machine Operator at Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries , Blytheville, AR, you will be responsible for setting up and operating high-speed equipment to form or cut steel to specified dimensions and specifications. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, operational efficiency, and safe manufacturing practices in a fast-paced production environment.

What You’ll Do

• Observe all safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) rules to operate equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Perform advanced setup and calibration of production equipment.
• Inspect materials for quality issues before, during, and after production runs.

Who You Are

• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.

• Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, decimals, and fractions.
• Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
• Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other equipment necessary for job completion.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Commitment to leading and promoting health and safety work practices.
• Ability to maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance.

Physical Abilities

• Ability to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles for extended periods without fatigue.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for several hours as required.
• Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to stand for 10-12 hours per shift.
• Ability to perform work in a plant or manufacturing environment.
