Job summary

Lippert is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Goshen, Indiana to provide production with material per schedule and to move parts through the staging area. You will pull, box, and deliver parts, and help maintain perpetual inventory while adhering to safety rules.

The role requires basic computer use, forklift capability, and the ability to work outdoors and indoors in varied weather. Eligible candidates must pass a forklift inspection and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required.
  • Basic computer knowledge is expected.
  • Forklift license is required after hire (provided by Lippert).

Responsibilities

  • Pull material according to production schedules and assemble materials for staging.
  • Deliver completed material boxes to staging or production areas.
  • Maintain organization and accuracy of parts in the warehouse and follow safety procedures.

Summary/Objective

Duties include providing production with all material needed to run a full day’s production based off the production schedule set by themanufacturingleaders.Cut house coordinatorassignedtopull specific material and quantities to specific production pools and production orders. Presents completed materials box to the staging area for audit, fulfills anyworkfills, BOM changes,pick part calls,orshortages for anyoftheir work. Performs other warehouse duties to support success of perpetual inventory, 5S and all safety policies by following established operating procedures. This is an outdoor position, there will be exposure to all elements.

  3. Participates in returning extra parts to proper location in warehouse.
  4. Properly identify and locate all partsas well as put parts back in locationaccording to established procedures.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  • May sit or stand for several hours at a time.
  • May be on the floor/in the work, could be exposed to elements (heat, snow, etc.)
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.
  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
Qualifications
  1. High school degree or GED(not necessary).
  2. Basic computer knowledge.
  3. Lippert Forklift License Required (Offered once hired).

  3. Must be able to read and process written communication including, but not limited to, production schedule, RPO pick paperwork on dunnage, and material delivery log.

  6. Must have the ability to operate a forklift.
  7. Must be able to operate appropriate equipment including radios, tablets (Ex: email, D365, etc.), hitching process, loading & unloading material from trailers safely.
  8. Must be highly organized.
  9. Must possess successful problem-solving skills.
  10. Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow team members, customers, etc.
  11. Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations.
  12. Must be able to deal with climate extremes (temperature, precipitation, etc.)
  13. Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.
  14. Must be able to read and understand daily schedules.
  15. Responsible for the forklift housekeeping and daily forklift inspection.
  16. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.
Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands:

While performing duties of the job, theteam memberis regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active – while performing this job theteam memberis regularly standing walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. Theteam membermay have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specificvision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position requires Personal Protective Equipment such as work gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, cut resistant sleeves, and seasonal gear which will be provided.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are based upon the need to support operations and production. Some Saturdays will be mandatory.

There is no travel required for this position.

Preferred Education and Experience
  1. 1-3 months related work experience and/or training.
  2. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred.
