Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets in Lewiston is seeking a friendly Produce Clerk to help customers find and select fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs. You will prepare, package, and display produce to ensure top quality and freshness for shoppers.

This role requires excellent customer service, attentiveness, and teamwork. You will monitor stock, rotate items, and maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have previous experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge and passion for produce.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers with a smile and help them to locate various produce items.
• Assist customers by answering questions about our produce and provide recommendations.
• Wash, peel, cut, and package various types of fresh produce. Stock and rotate fresh produce.
• Regularly check the freshness of fruits and vegetables on display. Ensure all produce is fresh.
• Remove produce items that do not meet our quality standards and/or show signs of spoilage.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist to ensure the produce display area is always well-stocked.
• Keep up to date with present, future, seasonal and special ads in the produce department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

What You'll Do
