Job description

Responsible for coordinating the documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for the entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers.

Provide impeccable customer service and obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet, or customs sources.

Perform data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to US Customs, including handling all Participating Government Agencies (PGAs).

Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.

Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.

Collaborate with internal staff, departments, FedEx operations, and customers to deliver high-quality service.

Process agency brokerage shipments and handle remote filings as needed.

Ensure compliance with all government and organizational policies.

Perform other duties as assigned. Paid training provided.

Minimum qualifications: HS Diploma or GED required; no industry experience necessary. At least 6 months of work experience preferred. Data entry and keyboard skills required. Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, scanner).

Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle high volume and time-sensitive work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials. Interact effectively with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, and internal staff at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications: Starting wage $19.75.

Pay Transparency: Compensation range is an estimate of the current starting salary across all locations, from the lowest to the highest job level. Actual pay depends on experience, market, location, and other factors. Eligible employees may receive additional pay, premiums, or bonuses. Benefits include health, vision, dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay Range: $15.07 - $23.88.

Additional Details: 1st shift, 8-hour shifts starting between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM.
