Qualifications

Mirion Technologies, Inc., has a great opportunity for a customs compliance professional to help support the expansion of our overall Trade Compliance program! In this role, you will be essential in supporting the North American Technologies business with improving overall customs compliance. The scope includes supporting sites in both the United States and Canada. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Finance for NA Technologies, with a dotted line to the Compliance Director of Corporate Compliance.

Essential Duties

• Supporting and training local site import/customs compliance coordinators.
• Administering routine audits as required by corporate policy and compliance.
• Developing local site customs compliance procedures and supporting corporate policies.
• Conducting classification analysis to determine accurate HTS codes using various trade tools.
• Knowledge of US Customs programs including Anti-dumping, Countervailing Duty Orders, and other trade programs.
• Understanding programs such as Duty Drawback & Foreign Trade Zones.
• Understanding USMCA and qualifying products under it.
• Knowledge of Canadian Customs regulations and experience with CBSA.
• Creating clear communication with stakeholders through emails, presentations, etc.
• Monitoring, measuring, and developing reports with KPIs.
• Interpreting regulations and requirements accurately.
• Supporting corporate compliance projects as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a Trade Compliance role, primarily in US Import Compliance.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with technical document comprehension.
• Certification such as CCS from NCBFAA or CUSICO (Certified US Import Compliance Officer).
• Strong self-starter with critical and analytical thinking skills.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a matrixed environment.

This position is located in Meriden, CT; remote candidates will also be considered.
