• Support regulatory programs such as BAA, BABA, and TAA requirements.
• Develop and maintain global trade compliance policies, procedures, and training.
• Analyze trade compliance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Job Summary

The Customs Compliance Lead Manager is a key role within the company’s global trade compliance program, ensuring adherence to all applicable import/export laws, regulations, and sanctions requirements. This role drives strategic compliance initiatives, supports global business expansion, and mitigates regulatory risk through robust governance, due diligence, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Support: Support global import/export compliance programs, including classification, licensing, and adherence to export controls and sanctions regulations.
• Audits & Corrective Actions: Collection, coordination, and tracking of corrective actions from self-assessments, broker reviews, and formal audits.
• Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments and internal audit programs (classification, valuation, country of origin, ACE filings, BIS/export controls), including remediation and continuous improvement efforts.
• Regulatory Compliance: Support and ensure compliance with specialized regulatory programs including BAA (Buy American Act), BABA (Build America, Buy America), TAA (Trade Agreements Act), and related trade operations requirements.
• Governance & Training: Develop, implement, and maintain global trade compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Analytics & Metrics: Manage and analyze trade compliance metrics, CTPAT data, and operational trends to monitor program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Law, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: Proven experience working in global, multi-jurisdictional trade compliance environments.
• Physical & Travel Requirements:
• This is a sedentary role involving sitting most of the time, with occasional walking/standing and exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
• Requires domestic travel ranging from 0% to 25%.
