Job summary

800 Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is seeking a capable brokerage professional in Miami to service clients and manage the full entry process from document receipt to delivery and billing.

You will audit documents, verify incoterms, and coordinate ISF filings while maintaining strong customer service and timely follow-up with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent combination of education and work experience accepted in lieu of formal education.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in freight forwarding preferred.
  • Completion of industry-related courses is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all functions required by the brokerage department to service the client.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Daily follow-up on open issues with client, carrier, forwarder, CBP, or PGA to resolve delays in entry processing.
  • Manages all aspects of the entry process from receipt of documents to delivery, billing and scanning.
  • Audits commercial documents for accuracy, validates description, value, terms, country of origin, classification, and all CBP/PGA requirements.
  • Enters data into Hellmann’s brokerage system to complete entries and achieve full release with CBP and PGA.
  • Coordinates ISF filing with origin station, supplier or third party.

This position has a base compensation range of $26.45 to $28.85. Salary determination considers your skills, experience, job location, internal pay equity and job architecture. Hellmann Worldwide Logistics regularly reviews our pay ranges against industry standards to ensure fairness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs all functions required by the brokerage department to service the client
  • Performs functions including troubleshooting and problem-solving to provide exceptional customer service
  • Performs daily follow up on all open issues with the client, carrier, forwarder, CBP, or PGA to resolve any delays in entry processing
  • Manages all aspects of the entry process from receipt of documents or data to delivery, billing and scanning.
  • Audits commercial documents for accuracy, and verifies description, value, term of sale, country of origin, classification, and all areas required by CBP and any and all PGA’s
  • Enters all required data accurately into Hellmann’s brokerage system to complete the entry and achieve full release with CBP and PGA.
  • Coordinates with the origin station, supplier or third party to process the Importer Security Filing (ISF) on behalf the importer.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not supervise any direct reports.

Education and Experience
  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One to three years of previous experience in freight forwarding industry preferred
  • Completion of any industry related course is an asset
