Job summary

Expeditors is growing its Buffalo, NY import services team, focusing on our customs brokerage product. We are staffing for a variety of hours/shifts, including part-time and full-time opportunities.

You will ensure a smooth customs process, maintain data accuracy in our systems, track filings, and generate client invoices while following client SOPs. The role offers a professional, collaborative culture within a Fortune 500 company with opportunities to grow from within.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a smooth and timely customs process flow.
• Maintain accurate and timely data entry into our operational systems.
• Track and trace customs entry filings.
• Maintain accurate and timely client invoicing.
• Understand and follow curated customer SOPs.
• Transfer customs declaration information from documents or other sources into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid declaration.
• Assist with verification of customs declaration information and submission to the customs authority.
• Ensure compliance at all times to internal and external regulations.

Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure a smooth and timely customs process flow
• Uphold accurate and timely data entry into our operational systems
• Track and trace customs entry filings
• Maintain accurate and timely client invoicing
• Understand and follow curated customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Transfer customs declaration information from documents, or other sources into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declaration
• Assist with verification of customs declaration information and the submission of such to the customs authority
• Ensure compliance at all times to internal and external regulations
