Mission description

The Customer Support Manager OAM is a key representative of SAO, maintaining a privileged relationship with the Airframer. The role serves as a focal point for the OAM in two main capacities:

  1. OAM as a customer: Supporting spare parts and repair activities purchased for aftermarket support.
  2. Fleet activities: Supporting the OAM’s Supplier Management and Vendor Monitoring departments to ensure supplier compliance with contractual obligations.

    The Customer Support Manager is responsible for customer satisfaction, establishing relationships, resolving issues, and conducting performance reviews. Internally, they collaborate with all relevant departments and maintain strong ties with the Programs and Sales Managers.

    Duties and responsibilities

    The following are main responsibilities, which may be expanded as needed:

    1. Customer Relationship and Operational Support: Act as a facilitator and escalation point, monitor performance, organize customer reviews, and manage issues.
    2. Contract and Performance Management: Oversee contracts, enforce conditions, support profitability, and manage KPIs.
    3. Fleet Support and Airframer Projects: Handle escalated issues, produce KPIs, and coordinate projects and conferences.
    Knowledge, skills, and qualifications
    • Understanding of the aeronautical environment, MRO market, and civil aeronautic regulations.
    • Financial acumen, project management skills, proficiency in MS Office, ERP, data mining software.
    • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving skills, and leadership qualities.
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, with at least 5 years of aerospace or airline industry experience.
    • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
    • Availability for frequent international and domestic travel for aftermarket support.
