Job summary

Retif Oil & Fuel in Harvey, LA is seeking a Customer Support & Billing Specialist to serve as a main contact for fleet card customers and to support accurate account setup, transaction processing, and billing. The role blends customer service, analytics, and organization in a fast-paced environment, requiring meticulous attention to detail and strong communication across multiple channels.

The position may involve occasional evenings or weekends and travel as needed; benefits and growth

Responsibilities

• Serve as a knowledgeable, responsive point of contact for fleet card customers across multiple channels.
• Establish and maintain fleet card accounts and cardholder records in company systems.
• Support processing, reconciliation, and billing of fleet card transactions; research discrepancies as needed.
• Monitor account activity for irregularities and coordinate resolution of claims.
• Gather, analyze, and present information to fulfill customer requests and support decisions.
• Manage a high-volume workload to meet service expectations and deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Manage and prioritize a varied, high‑volume workload to meet service expectations and deadlines.

Requirements

The Customer Support & Billing Specialist is dedicated to the company’s fleet card program, serving as a primary point of contact for fleet card customers and providing accurate administrative support across account setup and maintenance, transaction processing, and billing. This role calls for a strong blend of customer service, analytical, and organizational skills, and is well suited to a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.

The Best Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent required
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills with sound judgment
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Customer‑focused, professional approach to service and relationship building
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to quickly learn new software and systems

Additionally, while performing duties, you may be required to sit, stoop, type, and lift up to 15 pounds. The position may also require occasional evening or weekend work, participation in virtual meetings, and travel.
