Customer Solutions Manager - US Residence based - LTA Backfill

Customer Solutions Manager (LTA to backfill for a project assignment)

PURPOSE

This CORE Customer Solutions Manager LTA assignment has a commitment of September 1, 2025 to September 1, 2027. This role can be residence based if the incumbent resides and works within the contiguous United States time zones. It also can be based at the Whippany, NJ facility.

The primary responsibility is day-to-day end-to-end order-to-bill operations that realize the highest levels of customer satisfaction for the Pharma division. The role involves developing customer relationships through effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The role holder monitors, reviews, and improves/maintains processes and procedures to leverage efficiencies while maintaining compliance.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

The role involves working with multiple internal and external stakeholders across all Business Units, including Government and Commercial customers, BU leads, Sales Area Managers, Finance Partners, Product Supply and IT. Interfaces include Directors in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product Supply and IT, Senior Buyers of Hospitals, Clinics and technicians, Group Purchasing Organizations and Independent Distribution Networks.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Improve customer service experience, create engaged customers and facilitate organic growth
  • Cover multiple functional areas in: Order-to-Bill Management, Customer Relations Management, Financial Management and Administrative Systems Support including government and regulatory affairs for accounts managed by account managers
  • Take ownership of customer inquiries and follow through to resolution; establish relationships with cross-functional partners (master data, bill-to-cash, transportation, Sales and finance)
  • Oversee all third-party operations at Accenture and GBS Shared Services teams in Delhi; train and support customer service coworkers
  • Plan and execute logistics activities (customer service, support of Product Supply inventory management and fulfillment, transportation and distribution)
  • Work closely with Bill-to-Cash team to develop and maintain end-to-end order-to-cash excellence
  • Maintain high levels of honesty, integrity, forward thinking in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide operational support for DSCSA processes including exception/error management, customer/account master data validation and ensuring B2B maintenance and integration requirements are met
  • Support partner onboarding for DSCSA, ensuring smooth data flow between systems for onboarded customers; assist in DSCSA compliance documentation, continuous improvement and audit readiness
WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

REQUIRES QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 6 years of experience in Order-to-Cash and Supply Chain; or Master’s Degree with 2 years of experience
  • At least 3 years of SAP experience
  • Excellent planning, organization, and prioritizing abilities
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent customer awareness and focus
  • Strong communication/presentation skills, both oral and written
  • Able to develop, present, and explain in-depth reports using SAP & Microsoft applications
  • Comfortable working directly with all levels of customer management and internal stakeholders
  • Experience with Hospitals, GPOs and IDNs located across the United States, with emphasis in Logistics Management and/or Supply Chain Management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in Order-to-Cash in pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer health or FMCG industries
