Job summary

Bosch Group in the United States, Michigan, seeks a technically adept professional to guide pre‑sales activities for OBC, DC/DC converters, and inverter technologies, translating customer requirements into tailored automotive power electronics solutions.

You will be the main technical contact for OEM accounts, collaborating with engineering, product management, and sales to prepare detailed proposals and implementation plans for high‑voltage systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of customer-facing technical experience in automotive or power electronics.
  • Strong automotive power electronics experience including high-voltage systems (DC/DC converters, inverters, or on-board chargers).
  • Experience with development cycles, processes, and production timelines in automotive.
  • Ability to develop and communicate complex technical proposals and documentation to diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards and ISO 26262.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical guidance throughout the pre-selling process, analyzing customer requirements and developing tailored solutions based on our technical portfolio and roadmap for OBC, DC/DC converters, and inverter technologies.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned automotive OEM customer accounts, building long‑term relationships and understanding their technical roadmaps, development, and production processes.
  • Support internal business units by providing detailed technical specifications, performance data, and feasibility assessments aligned with automotive development timelines.
  • Conduct system architecture assessments and provide optimization recommendations for high‑voltage power electronics solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive technical proposals and documentation communicating solution benefits, specifications, and timelines to customer stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and sales to address customer concerns and identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Provide technical support to customer teams on product features, integration procedures, and best practices for HV power electronics systems.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and system performance metrics, identifying areas for continuous improvement and proactive support.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or similar field
  • 5+ years of customer‑facing technical experience in the automotive or power electronics industry
  • Strong automotive power electronics experience, including expertise in high‑voltage power conversion systems, DC/DC converters, inverters, or on‑board chargers
  • Demonstrated experience with automotive manufacturing development cycles, processes, and production timelines
  • Proven ability to develop and communicate complex technical proposals, specifications, and documentation to diverse stakeholder audiences
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to conduct system assessments and provide optimization recommendations
  • Experience collaborating cross‑functionally with engineering, product management, and sales teams in a technical capacity
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards, compliance requirements, and functional safety principles (e.g., ISO 26262)
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with the ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers
