The Team & Role

Our growth story is only just beginning, and our Customer Solution Engineering team is pivotal in sustaining our rapid growth across the globe. We are looking for a highly collaborative, outcome-oriented Customer Solution Engineer to help us bring home the technical win and seize this huge market opportunity.

Working closely with our Account Executives, you’ll solve some of the most interesting business-critical challenges and transformations. You’ll focus on prospects and customers, helping them embrace digital transformation, become disruptors, and avoid being disrupted. As the CEO aka “ZEO” of your domain, you’ll become an expert on the entire quote-to-cash cycle for enterprise businesses across any sales channel. You’ll leverage your technical skills to outperform competitors and demonstrate how Zuora enables the world’s largest companies to unlock new growth in the evolving monetization landscape.

Position Details

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere while occasionally meeting with your team for office visits, events, or offsites. You’re welcome to come into the office more often if you’re nearby.

What You’ll Do
  1. Complete Zuora’s onboarding and sales training to become an expert in our products, services, and technical capabilities.
  2. Own the technical relationships, understanding customer needs and constraints deeply.
  3. Ensure customer adoption and maintain the technical health of the account.
  4. Deliver product demos and technical presentations to C-Level audiences, illustrating how Zuora’s platform drives success and growth.
  5. Create tailored use case demonstrations aligned with prospects’ strategic objectives across industries.
  6. Secure technical wins by differentiating Zuora, handling objections, and mitigating concerns to close deals.
  7. Act as a liaison to our product management team, providing customer feedback for the product roadmap.
  8. Ensure customers realize value and meet their expectations.
  9. Define and monitor KPIs in the account plan, shaping commercial strategies and technical action plans.
  10. Identify expansion opportunities and white space for growth.
  11. Present solutions clearly and coordinate resources across Zuora and partners.
  12. Collaborate with solution architects on design and approach.
  13. Support sales and marketing at events with demos and expertise.
  14. Respond to RFI/RFP technical elements.
  15. Travel within your sales territory as needed.
Your Experience
  1. 3+ years in Sales Engineering, solution consulting, or architecture.
  2. Motivated to learn the quote-to-cash cycle in the Subscription Economy.
  3. Excellent presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  4. Strong experience in business value selling, SaaS, and Cloud tech.
  5. Knowledge of subscription and recurring revenue models.
  6. Experience with sales methodologies like MEDDIC or Value Selling.
  7. Basic understanding of API development and languages such as PHP, Ruby, Java.
  8. Bachelor’s Degree or relevant FinTech experience.

Salary Range

The annualized salary range for this role is $115,900 — $173,800 USD, determined by various factors including experience, skills, and location.
