Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Odessa, TX is seeking part-time Customer Site Warehouse Support to help move product through the customer site.

The role is based at our Odessa branch and offers a schedule of 7:00am–5:00pm on Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sun, up to 28 hours per week, with potential flex after onboarding. You will operate computer programs and handheld devices, move and audit shipments, and keep the workspace clean while following health, safety, and sustainability rules.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license for the location and ability to meet driving record requirements for company vehicle use.
• Able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed.
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages weighing 25–75 lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam only).

Working as Part-time Customer Site Warehouse Support, you will facilitate the movement of product through our customer site.
This is an entry-level position based out of our branch located at 320 E Interstate 20, Odessa, TX 79766.
This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating computer programs and wireless hand held devices
• Moving and handling product accurately
• Auditing and preparing outgoing shipments to customer facilities
• Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior warehouse experience
• Prior experience operating a forklift
