Job summary

Fastenal Co. is hiring for a Part-time Customer Site Warehouse Support in Muncie, IN. The role is based at 3500 S Cowan Rd, 47302, within the In Plant Store, with evening overnight shifts and a 10–28 hour/week schedule.

The successful candidate will operate warehouse handheld devices, move products, audit shipments, and maintain a clean and safe work area while following health and sustainability guidelines. Prior forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Work independently as well as in a team.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed.
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25–50 lbs (up to 75 lbs).
• Pass drug screen where required.

Working as Part-time Customer Site Warehouse Support, you will facilitate the movement of product through our customer site. This is an entry-level position based out of our branch located at 3500 S Cowan Rd, Muncie, IN 47302. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating computer programs and wireless hand held devices
• Moving and handling product accurately
• Auditing and preparing outgoing shipments to customer facilities
• Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• Prior warehouse experience
• Prior experience operating a forklift
