Job description

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Customer Service/Warehouse Associate to join our TEAM! As the Customer Service/Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for providing support such as servicing walk-in customers, completing sales transactions, and handling material duties like receiving, loading/unloading, pulling/assembling customer orders, and inventory checks. This position may involve daily use of forklift equipment.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $21.89 and $27.61 per year at the start of employment. However, the actual pay will be determined on an individual basis and may include commission earnings, incentive compensation, bonuses, and other benefits.

Primary Objective:
  • Perform a variety of customer service, office administration, and warehouse duties related to the operation of a Sales Service Center.
Major Functions and Scope:
  • Assist customers by determining order requirements, answering inquiries, providing samples, and completing sales transactions.
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding returns and order errors.
  • Handle office duties such as processing payments, reconciling cash, preparing deposits, updating customer files, and creating vendor orders.
  • Manage product orders, stock replenishment, and inventory checks.
  • Prepare sales slips and produce daily sales reports.
  • Execute warehouse duties including order pulling, accuracy checks, restocking, labeling, and conducting cycle counts.
  • Receive and unload inbound shipments, process returns, and manage freight claims.
  • Operate forklift equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized facility and promote a safe working environment following safety protocols.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of customer service and warehouse experience.
Competencies:
  • Organization, math skills, time management, computer proficiency, attention to detail, customer service orientation, safety awareness.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, climb, and balance. Ability to lift 15-30 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs with team lift. Vision abilities include close, peripheral, and focus adjustment. Accommodations available for disabilities.
