Ewing Outdoor Supply in Crown Point, IN is seeking a hands-on role that blends customer service, warehouse operations, and local deliveries. This position offers active daily work, both indoors and outdoors, with training provided to set you up for success from day one.

No prior industry experience is required; we provide world-class training and a teamwork-focused environment. Pay is $18–$20 per hour DOE, with potential for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with strong communication.
• Able to lift 50–70 pounds.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Able to work in fast-paced indoor/outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and greet/direct customers.
• Deliver items to addresses via routes; follow schedule.
• Load/unload and inspect delivery vehicle.
• Provide product information and cross-sell to customers.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Coordinate with team to ensure excellent customer service.
• Maintain stocked racks and organize merchandise.

This role provides a variety of activities—including customer service, warehouse operations, inventory support, local deliveries, and sales assistance—making it ideal for someone who enjoys being active, working both indoors and outdoors, and being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Though preferred, this hands‑on, foundational role doesn't require prior industry experience; we provide world‑class training to set you up for success from day one!

Responsibilities

• Go the extra mile to engage customers
• Greet and direct customers
• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
• Inform customers about new products and services
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Ensure racks are fully stocked
• Coordinate with your team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
• Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
• Answer customers' questions about specific products/services
• Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
• Cross-sell products
• Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager
• Stay up-to-date with new products/services

Requirements

• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Basic math skills
• Be able to lift 50-70 pounds
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
• Ability to perform in fast‑paced environments
• Valid driver's license
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good driving record with no traffic violations
• Bonus points: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Bonus points: Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions (willing to train the right candidate)
