Job Summary
In this role you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and testing customer owned equipment as well as maintaining appropriate documentation. Travel to customer sites required (40%). Responsible for working with customers to solve equipment problems and expedite the necessary repairs in-house or on site. Perform or oversee assembly, installation, startup and repair of amplifiers and systems at the customer location.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform necessary in-house repairs or calibrations on equipment and evaluate the cause of failure.
- Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry as needed to meet equipment specifications.
- Maintain accurate repair records and test reports on all returned products.
- Act as technical liaison for customers.
- Maintain awareness of all new products developed to facilitate possible future repairs.
- Resolve customer problems via telephone and/or email by instructing customers on how to make repairs.
- Analyze and interpret simple test data, obtaining the support of higher-level technicians on complex data.
- Ability to perform 80% of repairs independently. Work with Customer Service Tech 1 on complex issues (approximately 20%).
- Assist Test Technicians when required.
- Follow through with highly technical repairs being done by Test Techs or Engineers in order to close complex cases.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and three years’ experience, or a demonstrated high degree of ability to successfully perform all duties of this position.
- Thorough understanding of testing and repair of electronic equipment.
- Ability to properly use a soldering iron, power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum and network analyzers, signal generators, sweep generators, power meters, DVMs, VOMs and other RF related equipment.
- Use ERP system related to record work labor hours per repair, replacement parts used on repair and description of work performed.
- Must be able to use spreadsheets, database viewers and email.
- Must be able to move/lift 25 pounds.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Compensation
Salary Minimum: $60,000
Salary Maximum: $80,000
