Customer Service Team Member - Floor Sales/Cashier

Cain Hardware and Lumber, part of Nation’s Best Holdings, is looking for dynamic individuals to join our Customer Service - Floor Sales/Cashier team in Carthage, Texas. What You Will Do And How You Will Contribute
  • Engage with customers, greet, and assist them to create a positive shopping experience
  • Help customers find the right products, provide recommendations, and offer solutions for their projects
  • Stock and organize merchandise to maintain a clean, well-presented store
  • Answer phone calls politely and promptly, addressing customer inquiries
  • Assist with inventory tasks, including cycle counts, verifying stock levels, and maintaining accurate records
  • Upsell related items and promote the Do It Best reward program to build loyalty
  • Follow company standards and procedures to ensure smooth store operations
  • Process checkouts accurately, adhering to cash handling procedures
  • Continuously expand product knowledge across departments to enhance service and identify selling opportunities
  • Address and resolve customer issues with management support
  • Assist with receiving tasks as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Complete all training to stay updated on product knowledge and policies
  • Assist in other departments/functions as needed to provide excellent customer service
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisors or management
What You Will Bring To Our Team
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Proficiency in computers and POS systems
  • Retail or related industry experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with cycle counting or inventory processes is beneficial
  • Strong customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Team player attitude, helping out wherever needed
  • Problem-solving skills to anticipate customer needs and provide solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, staying flexible
  • Physical ability to lift 25-50 lbs, bend, twist, squat, and reach
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
