Job summary

The Spinx Company in Greenville, SC is seeking a Customer Service Representative to deliver fast, friendly service and accurate financial transactions in a busy retail environment. You will help maintain store presentation, follow safety and food service standards, and support core values while assisting customers with their needs.

This role requires cross-training across retail and food service tasks, adherence to cash handling policies, and a positive, customer-focused attitude in a team

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language.
• Ability to work with fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
• The physical demands described include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds and working in a busy retail/food service environment.
• Work environment may involve outside weather conditions, fumes or cleaning chemicals, and exposure to hot cooking equipment and grease.

Responsibilities

• Report for scheduled shifts on time and in proper uniform with a clean, professional appearance.
• All teammates are required to be cross-trained and proficient in performing all retail and food service responsibilities.
• Perform all assigned tasks and functions in a safe manner and report accidents or hazards to supervision.
• Provide customers with fast, friendly and accurate service and report customer-related issues to management.
• Maintain an organized work area, clean sales floor and restrooms.
• Ensure cleanliness of exterior building and forecourt.
• Protect company assets including cash and inventory and follow cash handling procedures.
• Adhere to age-restricted sale policies and verify age with valid ID when necessary.
• Assist with merchandising, pricing, food service and administrative requirements.
• Set a positive tone and demonstrate knowledge of store functions.
• Follow proper communication flow per Store Operations guidelines.
• Assist customers at self-checkout if applicable.
