What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Answer incoming customer service phone calls and effectively communicate with a wide range of customers
- Enter clear and concise documentation in the patient health information system
- Conduct financial interviews to determine patients\' ability to pay and financial assistance eligibility
- Review and work on both customer service and financial assistance reports and queues
- Maintain productivity and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications)
- High School diploma or GED
- One year of experience in data processing, word processing, accounting, or healthcare clerical work
- Strong interpersonal and public relations skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Additional courses in medical terminology and office practices
- Certifications such as Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)
- Familiarity with healthcare billing and revenue cycle processes
