Job summary

Ahlstrom is seeking a Customer Service / Sales Support professional to support Mount Holly Springs customers across domestic and international accounts. You will process orders, maintain customer data, and liaise with Sales, Logistics, and Credit to ensure smooth delivery and high satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a related field or relevant combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years experience in customer service, inside sales or sales support, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient PC skills including strong keyboarding and ability to learn Ahlstrom's systems with accuracy.
• Mathematical competency for pricing calculations and unit conversions.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Availability to visit customers or attend outside meetings, occasionally with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and/or international order fulfillment requirements to ensure timely and accurate product delivery with proper documentation.
• Ensure customer master data, account profiles, and customer product information are accurate and up to date in all relevant systems.
• Receive, process and verify all sales orders from multiple channels (email, phone, fax, EDI).
• Interface with other Ahlstrom plants and suppliers globally for orders produced elsewhere.
• Provide order status, resolve customer inquiries and initiate customer concerns in system.
• Ensure accounts comply with corporate credit policies.
• Manage receivables and past-due amounts as required.
• Gain product knowledge to answer basic customer questions about the portfolio.
• Daily interactions with Sales, Operations, Logistics, Technical Support and Quality to ensure accurate information transfer to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Serve as customer advocate by understanding requirements and coordinating with credit, supply chain, technical support, product management and sales.

As a CSS for Mount Holly Springs, PA, not only will you be a member of a dynamic team you will be supporting a business with a purpose! You will be responsible for administering the chain of sales support to Ahlstrom internal and external customers by providing and ensuring exceptional customer service and maximizing customer satisfaction. You will also maintain understanding of the customer’s needs and focus activities including, but not limited to the order fulfillment process and pre/post sales and business support transactions.

Main responsibility areas/Essential Functions

• Manage domestic and/or International order fulfillment requirements to ensure timely and accurate product delivery with proper documentation.
• Ensure customer master data, account profile information, and customer product information is accurate and up to date in all relevant systems.
• Receive, process and verify all sales orders based on the customer’s requests (with accuracy and speed). Orders sourced from: email, phone, fax, EDI and other means.
• Interface with other Ahlstrom-Munksjö plants and suppliers Globally for processing orders produced elsewhere.
• Provide order status, resolve customer inquiries and initiates customer concerns in system
• Ensure accounts are in compliance with corporate credit policies.
• Manage receivables and past due amounts as required.
• Required to gain product knowledge sufficient to answer basic customer questions related to the product portfolio.
• Daily interactions with Sales, Operations, Logistics, Technical Support and Quality to ensure accurate and efficient information transfer to the customer to maximize customer satisfaction
• Serve as the customer’s advocate by understanding customer requirements/expectations and act as a liaison between CSS’s, the customer and business representatives including credit, supply chain, technical support, product management, and sales, as well as other duties assigned.

Desired Experience and Education

• Associates Degree in a related field or relevant combination of education and experience
• 2 or more years experience in customer service, insides sales or sales support, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient PC skills (including strong keyboarding skills) and ability to learn with proficiency Ahlstrom's systems with accuracy
• Mathematical competency for calculating pricing and converting units of measure.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Availability to visit customers or attend outside meetings, occasionally requiring overnight stays.
