A busy sand and gravel supplier in Snohomish is seeking a customer service/scale house attendant. This full-time role includes processing sales transactions, advising customers on materials, and operating equipment. The company offers benefits after 90 days of employment, including health insurance and paid time off.
Girard Resources & Recycling is looking for a new customer service/scale house attendant to serve our Snohomish location. We are a busy sand and gravel supplier and have had an excellent customer base since 2005. We are looking for someone enthusiastic to help keep our customer satisfaction above average to help us stand out among others.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Processes Retail and Contractor counter and phone sales transactions, determine volume of recyclable material drop off, and communicate with the loader operator to fill customer’s order for picked up materials. Light office cleaning, ordering, and helping with dispatch paperwork. There is room for growth in the company if you are willing to learn and train.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: A qualified candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily both inside and outside in all types of weather. Previous customer service experience required. Basic experience with Windows and POS system preferred. Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and written, Spanish speaking is a plus. You must have good attendance and the ability to work Tuesday-Saturday 40 hours per week.
PHYSICAL DEMAND: You must be able to lift 25lbs or more occasionally. You must be able to safely reach, climb, grasp, bend, and stand or sit for prolonged periods of time while wearing appropriate PPE. This person must also be okay working in inclement weather occasionally as well.
