Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level Courtesy Team Member to support store operations and deliver above-and-beyond customer service. You will assist with cart retrieval, trash removal in parking lot and store areas, snow removal, returns, cleaning, and collaboration with service desk and departments across the store.

The role requires organization, strong listening and communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling lifting and other physical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Highly-organized with a keen sense for details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment.
• Can handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending and twisting while handling product or using various equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ferry shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and inside store.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for removing snow.
• Handle perishables and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Collaborate with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
