Job summary

Sentry is hiring a translator to support its Stevens Point, WI; El Paso, TX; Freeport, IL; or Goldsboro, NC offices. The role involves translating phone conversations and documents between English and Spanish, with a hybrid in-office/remote schedule.

Requirements include an Associate Degree or equivalent and 0–2 years of related experience, plus fluency in English and Spanish. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is paid over the first year. Salary ranges from $17.01 to $25.58 per hour depending on location.

Job description

Ensures quality customer service by interpreting phone calls for personal and commercial lines insureds and claimants. Translates and transcribes documents and recordings accurately.

What You'll Do

• As the translator for Sentry Insurance, you will translate verbally phone conversations and rewrite documents in both English and Spanish. This individual would also follow a hybrid work model and is eligible to work out of our Stevens Point, WI, El Paso, TX, Freeport, IL or Goldsboro, NC office locations. For Sentry, our flexible schedule would be Mondays and Fridays are optional work from home days and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in office days.

• Provide translation services to all Sentry offices
• Translate a high volume of calls daily
• Provide a high quality of customer service for internal and external customers

What It Takes

• Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
• 0-2 years of related work experience
• Excellent ability to speak, read and write fluently in English and Spanish
• Familiar with various dialect meanings in both English and Spanish
• Previous experience in the insurance field is desirable
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, maintain confidentiality and provide work direction.

New Hires coming to us will receive in total a $1000 Sign-on Bonus over the course of one year

Positions filled in Freeport, Illinois this position will pay $17.01 - $25.58 per hour.
