Customer Service Representative - Remote in VA & NC

Sentara Health is currently seeking a full-time remote Customer Service Representative to join our team. The role offers benefits such as life insurance, paid time off, sick time, tuition assistance, and 401(k) plans.

Must be available to start on 09/08/2025.

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Location: Remote ONLY in Virginia and North Carolina. Candidates must be near a Sentara hospital or hub and able to travel on-site if experiencing connectivity issues.

  • Sentara Independence - Virginia Beach, VA
  • Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center - Williamsburg, VA
  • Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center - Woodbridge, VA
  • Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital - South Boston, VA

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:30PM

Overview

Responsible for customer service related to research and resolution of telephone inquiries from members or patients. Tasks include handling calls about member eligibility, prescription benefits, claim issues, billing updates, payment plans, and scheduling.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Two years of customer service experience (Required)
  • Previous data entry experience (Required)
  • Experience in a high-volume call center (Preferred)
Compensation

Base pay ranges from $16.35 to $23.08 per hour, with potential additional incentives such as shift differentials, overtime, or bonuses.
