Customer Service Representative - Remote - eviCore

By joining our non-clinical team, you will assist in managing the benefit needs of inbound callers from start to finish, while delivering outstanding patient-provider care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle an average of 80-100 inbound calls daily from Health Plan clients and providers seeking pre-authorization.
  • Properly handle and verify patient records under HIPAA and PHI, maintaining confidentiality for each call.
  • Manage multiple back-to-back calls using various applications across multiple screens, entering all patient, provider, and imaging center data accurately.
  • Follow the complete formal script pathway with each caller, escalating calls that cannot be resolved via the script to the appropriate department or personnel.
  • Remain client-focused at all times, independently resolving customer inquiries and complaints to achieve one-call resolution.
  • Attend 100% of the 8-week training program, which includes live-call participation training.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook; strong written, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer focus with the ability to de-escalate difficult callers constructively.
  • Take accountability and ownership to solve problems efficiently.
  • Engaged, coachable, and upbeat attitude, willing to serve as a positive role model.
  • Team player who shares knowledge, offers support, and collaborates effectively.
  • Flexible, open-minded, and adaptable to business changes or needs.
  • Self-confident and empowered to use good judgment to do what is right and fulfill commitments.

  • Note: Currently training is conducted in a work-from-home environment. Reliable internet connectivity via a wired connection is required. Mobile or hotspot connections are not acceptable; you may need to purchase an Ethernet cord based on your setup.

For remote work, internet must be from a cable broadband or fiber optic provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload.

We anticipate an hourly rate of $17.75 to $19, depending on experience and location. The role may also be eligible for an annual bonus plan.
