Responsibilities
  • Answer phones and assist facilities, payers, and patients with inquiries
  • Set up payment plans when requested by patients
  • Contact patients regarding their payment plans when required
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Patient Health Information (PHI) and follow HIPAA regulations
  • Communicate questions and/or issues to the Lead and Supervisor when necessary
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of Customer Service/Call Center experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player
  • Minimum educational requirement: High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment
  • Continuing education beyond the high school diploma is preferred
