This position is hybrid, involving approximately 90% remote/virtual work and 10% onsite at distribution center offices located throughout the Southeast Region of the United States, including Hurricane WV, Salem VA, Raleigh NC, Charlotte NC, Fort Mill SC, Lexington SC, Port Orange FL, Boca Rotan FL, Tampa FL, Marrero LA, Flowood MS, Montgomery AL, Little Rock AR, Memphis TN, Alcoa TN, Norcross GA, and Fairburn GA, within a 50-mile radius of these locations.

The role typically requires onsite presence about once a month or occasionally for training sessions.

Responsibilities include providing contact and liaison services between National Sales customers and the sales team, processing incoming orders, and responding to customer inquiries promptly. The role involves working within established guidelines to meet service objectives aligned with customer expectations, company policies, and profit and quality standards. It also includes backing up the Sales Coordinator role.

Starting pay for our Customer Service Reps ranges from $17.50 to $19.50 per hour, depending on experience and location within the Southeast region.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm

Main Responsibilities of the Job

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls to provide product and service information, take orders, and address complaints.
  • Maintaining records of customer interactions, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken.
  • Resolving service or billing issues and ensuring appropriate changes are made.
  • Communicating with customers regarding inquiries, claim results, or adjustments, and escalating unresolved issues.
  • Assessing complaints and investigating causes.
  • Coordinating same-day deliveries and pickups, and responding to related questions.
  • Responding to product inquiries and sharing information about new or additional services or products.
  • Handling returns, recalls, and withdrawals, including invoice processing.
  • Recommending process improvements to prevent future issues.

Internal: Sales, Operations, Distribution, Support

External: Customers

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years customer service experience in a call center environment; food service distribution experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook required. CRM/Phone technology experience preferred.

Compensation varies based on experience, education, skills, location, and legal factors. The base pay range is approximately $17 to $25 per hour.
